My Little Helper...

I just love this lil girl... she's one of mine! 2 years old and as scary as heck! My mum always said to me "I hope you have a little girl just like you" I would reply "yeh yeh mum settle down!" Well... now I feel for my mother! Cause my 2nd darling daughter is just that! And she sure is giving me a run for my money!

Today while I was sorting out a ribbon or 5000, she so nicely grabbed some and labelled it "MINE" as a 2 year old does! She then asked her Daddy to put it in her hair and this is what I came back into the room to...

Don't ya just love it...

Stage 1.

Ok... I have taken out ONE of the three 150 litre boxes of scrap/art stuff I have accumulated over the last 5 years! It's killing me going through this stuff! Along with being pregnant and still suffering the dreaded "When ever it wants to appear" sickness, I'm having to say goodbye to just a few things! All in the name of being ORGANISED !!! That's what I'm going for here people!

You will have to excuse the raw floor boards...we're renovating, and still in discussion about flooring! I doubt we will come to a conclusion anytime soon...

Oh to one day have my own studio... maybe even a rug?

Tomorrow is a new day ... and I will post stage 2! not that it's any different than stage one, just more junk! I'm having RIBBON storage issues...any suggestions?

Also tomorrow, I have an afternoon of scrapping ahead of me though with my scrap sistah and I'm excited! We're working on that 150 pages before Christmas thing.... I have a feeling I'm a tad behind!

The BIG Clean Out....

The time has come people... the time to get into "Spring Cleaning" mode and CLEAN OUT THAT SCRAP STASH of yours!

I'm going to confess, that I have 3 x 150 litre containers full of scrapbooking/craft stuff, a glory box full and a few other boxes here and there! and well, it just ain't working! I have NO ORDER, I have NO IDEA where half my stuff is when I need it, so today!
(and most likely the rest of the week) I will be cleaning out and moving on!

We are in our first home and well, it ain't that big, but it's perfect! I just need to get creative with my storage idea's and take you along for the ride.

SO, I'll be posting pic's and when ever you feel the need "LEAVE A COMMENT" and tell me what you think, and if you have any idea's for my dilemma! alrighties!!

Today was the day "I GOT RANDOM" Ok I was a litle bored! So I thought I would walk around my house taking photo's of RANDOM objects that happen to catch my eye! The things we would normally walk past and not think twice about, things that happen to just be there at the minute...

and this is what I came up with...

The Fruit Bowl - It's my FAV fruit bowl ever !

White Tea Cups - Not sure what to do with these!

They are either in the bin pile or think of something

HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN ???
I know I know, way too long! But here's my story! I moved house, we're renovating, I couldn't remember my password to log in here due to me being PREGNANT with no. 3 !!! Most of my scrapbooking stash is still in boxes and it's sending me over the edge!

BUT my creative friends, not to worry I AM BACK !!!! With the help of some blog hopping and my fav crafty chick I have been having little outbursts of enthusiasm along the way... which I will be showing off very soon!

SOoooo.... Get ya good nickers on, we've gotta alot of catching up to do !!

I thought I would post a little something on what myself and my best Scrap-Chick are up to this week! I thought we might try a bit of a swap thing ... I came up with 3 topics to chose from:

1. 08 Calender

2. Scrap Diary

3. Tag book on any topic such as family, friends, Faith

So, ScrapSandy chose Tag book/Faith. I was actually really happy she chose that, for one I haven't done anything like this before and we're both looking forward to the pick-me-up! We have given ourselves ONE WEEK to produce something to swap. I have started mine and it's been way fun!

If you want to join in let me know in the comments section your name and e-mail addy and I will set up a partner for the swap, we can extend the time of course, or if you want to make one just for yourself, give me a heads up when ya done, I'd love to post your work on here for everyone to have a peek at.

I'll be posting next week my finished product and the one I'll be getting from ScrapSandy, she's a talented little thing! :)

Alrighty chick-a-dee's... Here is MAY's Challenge and it's on

MOTHERS DAY

Now this is a pretty open one, I want you to make what ever it is you want, 12x12 page, tag, accordion book what ever your heart desires ...but here are some guidelines:

TWO PHOTO'S ONLY
TWO WORDS - MOTHER/MUM/MOM/MUMMY & LOVE you get the picture !!!
JOURNALING - at least TWO things why this person is special, feel free to list as many as you like, but at least TWO
You must use TWO of your fav products

Now I understand we have people from all walks of life, so this is why it's an open type challenge. You can do this on your own mother, Grandmother, Yourself, the person who has been like a mother to you or the mother you hope to be! If your a mum to your pet then heck do that too!

You have ONE WEEK! (18th MAY) to complete this challenge. That way if you happen to snag some Mothers Day photo's this Sunday you will have some to play with for this challenge.

Scrapbooking My Girls Room ....

Alrighty you COLOUR FREAKS out there! Let me have it ... I want to know YOUR ideas and thoughts of me painting & decorating my girls bedroom. They will be 2 and 4 years old in July.

Now I can't show you a pic of the room for sizes, as it's our very first home we just bought and settlement isn't until 7th July! So in the 2 months I have of anxiously waiting for that glorious time to come I'm getting the paint buckets, canvas boards and furniture ready!

Here is my problem ... I want to paint it pink, DD1 wants it green and DD2 doesn't care cause she is not even 2 yet and the Man doesn't have a say, this is mumma's project!!

Living in Australia, we don't have a Pottery Barn and if we did ohhh me oh my would there be trouble ! Anywho here are some pic's I borrowed haa off the PB Kids site...

Now they are having white bunks - The Man is just finishing painting them and then will make it all work in his little carpenter world ... They have a white set of draws and white 3 shelf book case. Here are their dooner covers, and I guess I'm going off the covers cause I love them ...

So tell me people ... what should happen! From the curtains to the floor (which are a very light cream/white colour heaven help it) One girl has green sheets the other pink ... I was thinking maybe an aqua room with some designed to match on canvases!??

I'm just so darn BLOOMING indecisive and thought it might be fun if we looked at this as scrapbooking my girls room! what ya think ladies?

I'm sorry Chickies... I'll quickly update you on my slackness - I have had sick kiddies, not been well myself, we bought our first home and have been dealing with all the head spinning stuff that goes with that!

Since we have started to clean out the mass of JUNK we have accumulated, I no longer can see my table, (not that I could see it before) but now I can't sit and scrap! but I have managed to get a few pages out and I'll post them asap.

I'll be checking up on some old challenges I posted last month and get ya funk on cause I got some new ones coming! MAY is going to be hectic for me, but I promise to stick around and show you the love!

April CHALLENGE

This one I can't wait to do myself! Are ya ready ... This month’s challenge is going to be to remember something from...

"BACK IN THE DAY ..."

Now here's how its going to work! We all have memories from our childhood right? Some good some bad ... but this one we are concentrating on the happy and memorablee ones!
For instance Back In The Day ... my fav TV show was Harry & The Hendersons! or back in the day I remember when I was 3, riding my fav PINK bike with white training wheels, and I remember when my brother ran over that bike when he was learning to DRIVE!! IDIOT ... it's ok I'm over it now!
It can be ANYTHING significant or special that stood out to you that you remember as a kid.
It's a pretty wide topic but we love to remember things from when we were little ... holidays, Christmas's, birthdays, clothes or our very first KISS!

RULES

Must include 1 - 2 Photo's of YOURSELF back in the day !!
(close to or around the time you are talking about)

Your title will read "BACK IN THE DAY ..."

Journaling is a must ... a short story to entertain us if you please !!!

What ever era you came from, your page has to represent that time frame, for instance I'm an 80's kid! tight leotards and BRIGHT pink leg warmers were in man!!! Walk like an Egyptian was recorded 50 times on my cassette!, Frizzy hair and blue eye shadow rocked!
Scary times girls... scary times!

So get thinking, go find some old photos of you looking your best lol and lets see what we can come up with!
P.s Don't forget to post in the comments section your page link when ya done! Also the LO up the top there isn't my take on the challenge, just a page from my childhood album where I got this idea from!

Saturdays STORAGE idea ...

Well it's officially Saturday! and I'm VERY excited to show off my new do-dads!
Now where to start ... how about with my Sticker-Uperer! yeah thats what we'll call it! I got this great idea off a cool blog called Outta This Funk. I had to make some minor adjustments as we are renting and sticking up a bar was not going to happen! So with a little help from the carpenter hubby! I came up with this!

I used wood, a piece of dowel, metal washers, paper clips & mini pegs!
This isn't that difficult, more time consuming but SO COOL!

The Tin Buckets
Hello Bargains! I'm addicted to these little guys! I'm getting more next week, can't not have them when all they cost was $2.50 ea. These came from one of those $2 discount stores where nothing is $2.00 haaa

The Baggie Hanger
This cracks me up! Can you tell its a toilet paper roll holder haha! Sadly my $3.00 bargain here is just that! Nothing like a bit of paint, some hooks and whatta-ya know! A baggie hanger!

So Chick-a-dee's ... this is it! My Sticker Sticker-Uperer, Little Tin Buckets and a Baggie Hanger are what I came up with today for some budget storage solutions. I hope you get some inspo out of this and hope to see some comments on what you think!

We live in a pretty small unit, and don't have a study so the kitchen table and I have a love hate relationship! Lady Bug Lady Bug Fly Away Home ...

Well the girls and I had a scrap session last night! It consisted of chocolate cake, pepsi, clinkers (with taking bites of the green ones and putting them back lol) and strawberry chocolate frogs! I even managed to do a double LO. Snaps for the indecisive one! !

Peek-a-boo Easter Gift Bag

These are SO EASY and cute for a little gift for easter!

I got this out of the Better Homes & Gardens magazine this month and thought I would give it a go and here it is ....

I filled a little cello bag with eggs (seal the top with a staple or sticky tape) and using the free paper I got in the mag, cut to size the paper to cover the cello bag (My bag was approx 28cm x 10cm). On my printer I was able to enlarge the bunny pattern and cut it out, trace onto the paper and cut then that one out. Then with a hole punch, put 2 holes in the top and thread ribbon through and tied it in a bow! There you have your Easter Peek-a-boo gift bag.

P.s If you don't have a pattern, it is easy to draw yourself one up or even use a cookie cutter in the shape of an egg and use that as a template!

The Very First

Here is the very first entry on my new blog! ahhh I feel better already! Let me tell you why I am yet again creating a new blog! I'm addicted! there you go thats about it!
Just jokes! I have been blog hopping for a while now and checking out all the cool stuff people are blogging about and I thought it might be fun to have one souly dedicated to the thing I love doing most ... Scrapbooking! not original I know, but I am original so thats the fun part!
So from today onwards, this is my happy place! My stuff, my way, my style! you don't have to like it, heck, not even I like it at times! But I'd love to get feedback and have people join in the challenges! I love a challenge now and then, so get ya scrappin nickers on gals!
